A study revealed, women who work at least 45 hours a week have a higher risk of developing diabetes, than women who work only 35 to 40 hours.

Other studies have revealed that women who spend more time at work are more vulnerable prone to inflammation, chronic stress, to hormonal changes that can potentially cause diabetes.

Too much time spent working can leave women with little time to take care of themselves, for example eating healthy foods and exercising.

In addition, stress levels and lack of sleep can also be factors that increase a woman’s risk of developing diabetes, especially from the way women respond to stress; namely by eating unhealthy food.

Meanwhile, a woman’s body needs more time to lower the level of the hormone cortisol (stress hormone).

Consuming more foods rich in vitamin B6 such as bananas, seeds, and nuts can help elevate your mood while increasing the release of the hormone serotonin, a hormone that can affect your mood.
