Nutrition and Calorie Content in Typical Eid Cuisine
Typical Eid food is synonymous with the use of coconut milk, for example in rendang. SCoconut milk contains quite high calories, which is 445 calories per cup. Therefore, you should consume foods that contain coconut milk wisely.
In addition, so that your calorie intake does not spike, know the nutritional and calorie content of the following types of special Eid foods:
1. Ati Fried Sambal
Eid is certainly not complete without liver potato fried chili sauce. This special Eid food menu has become popular because it tastes delicious and is suitable for combining various Eid special dishes such as lontong.
This fried chili sauce is generally prepared with raw potatoes, carrots and liver. All of these ingredients are a combination of a complete nutritious menu containing carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, minerals and animal protein.
One serving of fried chili sauce or the equivalent of 2-3 tablespoons contains various nutrients as follows:
- Calories: 30-40 kcal.
- Fat: 0.8 grams.
- Carbs: 3-4 grams.

2. Chicken Opor
This chicken dish with thick, delicious and seasoned sauce seems to never miss filling the dining table during Eid. Approximately, how many calories, huh?
In 100 grams of chicken opor, which is equivalent to 1 medium-sized piece of chicken and 10 tablespoons of coconut milk sauce with spices, there are 320 calories.
As an animal protein food, of course chicken opor is a good source of protein. The reason is, in this figure chicken opor can meet 40% of the daily protein requirement of an adult.
The fat content in 100 grams of chicken opor is quite high, which is able to meet 47% of the daily fat requirement of an adult.
Knowing that the calorie content of opor ayam is quite high, you should not consume chicken skin. Also, avoid heating the opor repeatedly.

3. Rendang

- Fat: 2 grams.
- Protein: 2 grams.
5. Nastar
Not only heavy meals, snacks are often served on the dining table during Eid. One snack that is never absent is nastar. Of course you’re not going to consume just one grain, right?
What is the calorie content? Nastar calories turned out to be quite high, which is 26 calories per item. You won’t be enough with just one item, right?
6. Snow White
Another cake that you can’t miss to welcome Eid is Snow White. This cake is known to contain about 23 calories in each piece

7. Kaastengels
Kaastengels are cakes that are often present on holidays, such as Idul Fitri, Christmas and Chinese New Year. This pastry is a traditional Dutch cake with a sprinkling of cheese on top.
What about the calories in it? In 50 grams of kaastengels, there are as many as 406 calories. If you count it per item, then one kaastengels fruit has about 20 calories.

What is the Daily Calorie Consumption Limit?
After knowing the number of calories for each typical Eid food, also know your daily calorie needs.
In general, women need about 1,600 to 2,400 calories per day. Meanwhile, men need around 2,000 to 3,000 calories.
However, the daily calorie needs of each individual are different. It will depend on your age, weight, height, lifestyle, health and daily activities.
The recommended average daily calories are 1,000 calories for babies 2 years old to 3,200 for active men aged 16 to 18 years.
With age, the metabolic system will decrease. In turn, this condition has an impact on reducing energy needs.
For example, productive women aged 19 to 25 need about 2,000 calories per day. That number will decrease to 1,600 at the age of 51.
