In this study, the researchers focused on two things, namely foods containing probiotics and foods containing prebiotics.

The results of this study concluded that someone who consumed the most fiber had a 17 percent lower risk of developing lung cancer, compared to people who consumed the least fiber.

In addition, the study also stated that people who consumed the most yogurt had a 19 percent lower risk of developing lung cancer, compared to people who didn’t eat yogurt.

Other research suggests that bacteria in the gut have a role in inflammation in the lungs. Metabolites produced by intestinal bacteria can suppress inflammation in the lungs so that the risk of getting the disease can also decrease.
