3. Gastritis

Delaying iftar can also have an impact on the health of the digestive system, one of which is gastritis.

Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach wall due to gastric juices damaging the wall that protects the stomach. When experiencing this, you can feel pain in the gut, nausea, vomiting, and bloating.

Delaying iftar can exacerbate gastritis symptoms. The stomach will secrete gastric juices at the proper time to eat. When no food enters, this gastric juice will irritate the stomach wall.

4. Slow down metabolism

Maybe you think that delaying iftar can help you lose weight. However, the fact is that delaying eating can make the body experience a decrease in metabolism.
