You need to know that many foods that are commonly served during Eid contain a lot of salt, sugar and high fat. If all these ingredients are consumed in excess, the negative impact is the emergence of various diseases.

The following types of diseases after Eid are prone to occur, including:

1. Flu and Cough

Common post-Idul Fitri illnesses are flu and cough. One dish that is often served is sweet and cold drinks. While this drink is refreshing, consuming too much of it can trigger a cough.

In addition, the Eid momentum makes a person shake hands with many people more often, where this allows you to be more at risk of being exposed to the virus.

2. Diarrhea

Eid is the best time to taste various dishes in your hometown. It is at this time that it is difficult for you to control what goes into your mouth, from spicy, sour, salty or sweet, everything goes into your stomach and mixes together.

Consuming a variety of foods simultaneously can trigger a sensitive condition in the stomach. Not to mention that not all dishes served are guaranteed to be healthy and free from disease. If you eat something that is unhygienic, chances are it can trigger diarrhea.

3. Increased Cholesterol Levels

During Eid, there are lots of foods made from coconut milk or fried in oil. Dishes made from coconut milk usually consist of chicken opor, rendang, various drinks, and various types of cakes.

If you have a history of high cholesterol, some of these foods can cause health problems. As a result, pain appears all over the body and interferes with daily activities.

Even so, there is no prohibition for you to eat coconut milk. However, you should limit consumption so as not to overdo it and have a negative effect on the body.

Typical Eid foods are made from various types of strong spices. Excessive consumption of Eid food can trigger inflammation in the throat.

7. Migraines

A post-Idul Fitri disease that is often unexpected is migraine. This one-sided headache can occur due to limited rest time, stress, and unhealthy eating patterns.

Migraines can make you sensitive to light. The brighter the environment, the more severe the pain. When experiencing this, it is recommended that you rest in a dim room.

Foods that can trigger migraines are spicy foods, fried foods, and coconut milk foods. Savory and sweet snacks such as cheese, chocolate, and snacks that contain lots of MSG can also trigger migraine attacks. So are coffee and soft drinks.
