8 Early Signs of Pregnancy

The following are signs of pregnancy that you need to pay attention to while waiting for the arrival of your baby:

1. Sensitive and painful breasts

Hormonal changes can make your breasts feel swollen and painful. Discomfort in the breasts will gradually decrease as the body’s ability to adjust to hormonal changes. To overcome this, you can choose a bra with the right breast pads to reduce friction on the nipples and nipple pain. Opt for a more comfortable, wire-free cotton bra.

2. Nausea, either with or without vomiting

Although often named morning sickness, These symptoms can occur day or night. Some will feel 1-2 months after getting pregnant, some earlier than that.

3. Frequent urination

The frequency of urinating more often than usual can be caused by an increase in the amount of blood so that the kidneys process the extra fluid that collects in the bladder. To avoid dehydration, drink at least a glass (300 ml) more than usual each day for extra fluids.

4. Easily tired

Extreme fatigue is common in early pregnancy, about a week into pregnancy. This is related to the high level of the hormone progesterone and also contributes to lower blood sugar levels, lower blood pressure, and increased blood production. Get plenty of rest, make sure you get enough sleep, and eat a diet rich in protein and iron to compensate.

5. Mood swings

Rapidly changing moods may be affected by high levels of estrogen and progesterone. Mums can be more emotional and reactive to something more than usual. Feeling more anxious, easily agitated, irritable or overly sensitive may occur early in pregnancy.

6. Constipation

Hormonal changes can affect the digestive system. Bloating, constipation are common symptoms that occur in early pregnancy. Progesterone can slow food through the intestines. Consume foods with high fiber and drink plenty of water to overcome them.

7. Sensitive to aroma

Although there is very little scientific explanation for this, most expectant mothers experience this in their first trimester. This sensitivity to smell can trigger nausea. At this stage there may be an aversion to certain foods more than usual.

8. Dizziness and easy fainting

It is associated with dilated blood vessels, low blood pressure, and low blood sugar. Maintain the physical strength of the body by exercising regularly, maintaining food intake, getting enough sleep, and avoiding sources of stress.

Every woman has a different body and health condition. The symptoms can also be different. There are those who experience all of the symptoms above, there are only 1-2 symptoms. If there are symptoms that are troubling, it is better to consult a doctor immediately.

The above symptoms are the beginning of significant changes in the body related to pregnancy. After checking the signs of pregnancy above, the next step to ensure pregnancy is to do a home pregnancy test. If the results are positive, immediately contact your doctor for further treatment and then start a prenatal program so that the health of the mother and fetus is maintained from the start.
